I feed only beef heart. They spawn less than 7 days after the batch is removed or failed. I feed blood worms every couple days just to switch it up but the breeding pair mainly ignores them
haha,
always seems to be the case, right?
I know it is really early, I have only had this pair for a week. nothing yet, but at times they seem to show some minor signs.
I thought I would bring this question to the experts though.
I feed FDBW's (Al's) and cobalt Flakes, that's all. am considering some other things but before I go and start buying, I remembered
I have some frozen meaty foods in the freezer.
this is a batch I mix up for my Salties. I buy many different cubed frozen foods and mix it all together.
this mix consist of the following
Mysis shrimp, beefheart, brine shrimp, Cyclops, rotifiers, some marine algeas, bloodworms, ocean plankton, Krill, Daphnia
So, yes or no?? can I feed the pair this mix?

FDBW and Cobalt Flakes is perfect, no need to change their diet. Probably just add some black extract, lots of water change (colder 80F) and bring down the temp to 82F.
I feed Al's worms and these:

Thanks All, oops forgot, I also feed NLS pellets as well. Temp is down to 82 already and a cooler WC already in place by about 3 degrees.
I will just leave things be and read a book. Lol
any thoughts on whether the Meaty mix I put together for my salties would hurt the Discus in any way??
I think everyone will know what my answer is......but I basically only feed my beef heart mix. The only time they get anything different is when I am out of town and my wife/kids are taking care of them.
