well the one on the left i thought maybe was a wild.

i guess wilds are mutts if i think about it though
has a nice curve of profile, some of the more colorful types i notice they have a dent in face. not sure the proper term for that, but the smooth curve looks nicer to my amateur eyes

LOL, actually I am breeding these two to see just how close I can get to a wild phenotype from "domestic" discus. Reverse engineering if you will. Personally, I think there is a common misconception of how far apart genetically domestics and wilds are. We frequently here how domestics are the results of years and years of genetic manipulation, etc etc.

This pair is from the same parents, as a result their offspring will be an F2 generation.
