That is so awesome Mike. A sight rarely seen in an aquarium.

This is incredible. Even with all the knowledge we've acquired over the decades in this hobby, and with the global sharing of information in an instant thanks to the internet, breeding true wild altums is still a very rare sight. Not many of them have been documented on video, especially parent raising. What an awesome accomplishment!

I want to thank everyone for the kind words. These fish have been a roller coaster full of joy and disappointment.

    Incredible Mike...
I know about 2 years ago you had a spawn but remember you only ended up with a limited number. It appears you now have a handle on things and what I would consider perfect to say the least.
Again Mike an achievement to be proud of and documented success by very few.
Great job my friend and sure ED is waiting patiently on some fry to grow-out.

    Ralph,
Thank you for the compliments. It's funny you mention Ed. He was down in Vegas on Tuesday. I definitely sent a bunch of fish back with him.

Congratulation for the membership in the most elite aquarium club, altum breeders. What were/are your water parameters? Do you know, what triggered them?

This was the 4th spawn from this pair this year. Spawning parameters were pH 5 or so and a TDS of 10. Temperature 80-82F.

That was so long ago that pair is dead and gone Jorge. Watching the pairs through the breeding process has been an amazing experience. Thank you for the kind words. It's more hard work than most people realize.
