Paul, it doesn't get any better then this. A big congrats. I remember my first Tefe spawn like it was yesterday.

After all I've went through with these fish today is the day that I can finally say that they are truly comfortable!!!
Sorry for the poor quality pics but I only have a iPhone for pics.
Man... after they day I've had today this made me ecstatic. This morning I awoke to about 10-15 gallons of RO water in my hallway and laundry room. Forgot to turn it off before I went to sleep last night... I really need to invest in a auto shutoff. Work was terrible and ringing the carpet out is no fun. Decided to take a break and two of my green tefe's were doing some "dance" and swimming vertically. Aggression is actually low for now. Others swim by and there is really no fighting (fingers crossed).
I've had a rough week with this tank the week before. Had one whirler and I let water quality drop, did several small water changes and get rewarded with some spawning.
Thanks for viewing!!!

Thanks Pat!!! Your fish was one of the main reason I decided to go with wilds. Thank you!
Best of luck!!!
So far the female fish seems like a good parent. The male took off but it could be the fact that I'm around. This fish has always been skittish. It arrived in really bad shape. Burns all over its body and lost almost all its fins, never really trusted me since his arrival.
Awesome news Paul!
Mark
Thanks Mark! These fish would not be here without your help. Thanks again
Awesome Paul, a testament to your good work with them considering how they arrived.
What a journey... I'm looking to see more on these and hope you'll get the chance to breed them
Cheers,
Fred
Congrats! What are your water parameters?
Thanks but the eggs are gone. Water parameters are pH 7, gH 2dkh, TDS 90, all the bad stuff 0 minus nitrates which is around 5. I use API test kits. Using a "eyeballed" 80/20 RO mix
Hoping they keep going. I might remove the potential pair after the nhamunda reds are finished with the qt process.

Paul, let they spawn where they are. That pair bond needs to be stronger. My tefe pair got it right on the third spawn.

Thanks Pat. If they continue I'll prob move them to their own 40G with a cone.
Paul, don't move them until they have had wigglers. Sometimes after moving they will not lay again. Trying to get them in a good cycle.
