    Default 90gal

    Hey Everyone,

Been a long time since I've kept fish, but back at it again finally! (Mainly due to some reno's and life becoming to hectic to have a tank) So just back in here, Tanks not as pretty and haven't taken a ton of photos(only use a cell phone :P ) Currently Planted(Becoming semi unplanted due in part to my Fish chewing up most of it slowly) -Slow process is going to be removing the Sand to a low kept level with only drift wood, Mosses and a couple plants as I got Myself into Altums and keeping them is a bit more challenging than i found my Discus to be so far at least with Wild caught life. These are a few of the Fish - 1 month in, Tanks got to much lighting currently for its own good which im working on turning down(I run some Metal halide lighting over it that im trying to figure out hours to run)

Hi Marco, these are really pretty altums and love love the gorgeous, long fins. If you wish to be true to their nature I would suggest reducing the light (a dim-able LED comes to mind ). These will help with the algae growth in your tank also.

Thanks Rick! things always seem to get me haha - And agreed Pat - I have a LED light for FW i got the Fuval programmable one. I might need 2 though but yeah i am running 500W HQI over that thing for a few hours a day and its a tad....much i guess lol. Amazing how much Altums love to eat algae and certain plants! bet they are almost better at working on the tank than my ottos
