    Rule of thirds, Golden ratio etc. all ways to get you to think about composition and in general keep the point of interest off dead center. But sometimes even that works.
    With so many pixels in newer cameras, one trick is to make the image a little larger than you might normally, pull back a little. Then you have more room for crop options in post.
