Is this one one yours? Very nice for a young discus.

Very nice Ricardo...hope you have more like this one. Should be a stunner once full grown and again have to mention my friend you have done a great job with this group.

Indeed. There are times when this discus will completely lose the bars and the color looks far more intense.

This is one of mine actually. It is roughly 8 months old if I am remembering correctly.

Thanks Ralph. I will not be getting any more as I can only keep one tank currently and all the current inhabitants will be the only inhabitants for a really long time. However, Al (Castro) should have more that look like this as he bred these. This guy was an accident selection on my part but I do not have an ounce of regret.

Thanks Liz. For the entirety of its stay in my aquarium it has been the most bossy and dominant fish. We called him, "the boss" from very early on.

He looks male but his color is more female which is very very good. I'm not crazy about the tail set. Do you have a fish that you want to breed him to? Picture don't always tell the truth but the tail set looks low to me.

The tail is set properly, during the shot the soft dorsal must have 'flapped'. Here is an older pic of it:

I have no plans at all to breed this or any of my other discus unfortunately. It will remain a lone (strain) wolf

I thought that it might be due to the Dorsal moving to the wrong side,. I now see that the fish is well balanced. This is a good fish. Why do you not want him to make babies?

I simply do not have the room for breeding. I really don't have room for another tank and even with this said, I am currently setting up a SW, lol. Don't get me wrong, I would love to breed it, because I love what it looks like, I just can't breed it due to spacial limitations.

Wow Al, that is absolutely striking. I love patterns on the dorsal and anal fins! Thanks for adding your cross here! When can I come over and take more pics?
