I'm not a 'wilds' person.....yet. So I'm really interested in the answer to this question, if someone out there could please enlighten us??

Hi Lindsay, best guess it is the same fish. Curipera is an older name to mast the collection point but still in usage in some circles. I suspect the spelling is translation distortion into English.

With careful quarantine... you can mix with domestics... but I personally like to keep my wilds separate from my domestics.

I am a few months off from being able to order some of these. I have heard that wilds are pretty seasonal. Are chances good that you could have more Heckels in late Spring/early Summer? Your fish look amazing and are highly recommended by people I've talked to on Facebook. But I just am not prepared yet.
People say planted discus tanks are unnatural. I wish I could figure out why the Amazon is so muddy...with that bare glass bottom it has.

Thanks, Pat! The names are so similar I wondered if the two options were just different attempts to spell the pronunciation.
