    Thank you!

It is, but at the end of the day I'm happy they're happy.

These guys are doing great. The two Tefe's have been spawning every week, on try number 11. They are continuing on eating the eggs on day 2-3 but I don't think I'd have the time to try to raise fry anyways. Finally reached my target goal of a pH of 6 and TDS of 70.

Thanks Pat on the recommendation on getting a pH monitor, it's been a time saver!!!

Tried making a small video of a full tank shot. I will admit it is total crap quality and took me a few tries to get it to this point. Maybe one day I'll actually try to get the right equipment and not use a make shift tripod and iPhone

Paul, care to share how you get your ph where it is? Also, the fish are looking great and good news on the continuous spawns.

wow paul these fish look great. The way they swim around the tank happily is very relaxing, just what a discus tank is supposed to be. For me this is a perfect tank, and perfect fish. Great job with these.

    Thanks all!!!

Zach, once aged my RODI unit sits at a pH about 4.7, I then add in tap to get to target pH (tap here is around 8 pH). I add in discus essentials and seachem replenish to get target TDS of 70. gH is 2 on the API kit and kH is 2 also. Pretty stable so far, sometimes I get a swing by .2 but everyone looks happy.

Man Paul... Awesome... Simply Awesome... That pic of them in like a perfect circle is just stunning... Do they do that on command?

That is an avatar waiting to happen... Better hit Ricardo up and tell him to work his magic!

Awesome thank you, assuming you are testing pure RO/DI with API test kit? My Pinpoint meter will not give me an accurate reading on pure RODI

Actually... Didn't even think of that. I only calibrated my pin point with the 7 and 10 solution. So 4.7 is most likely inaccurate since its on the low side. I just checked with my API kit and it says RODI is 6 and tank is 6.5... So I guess I got a little more work.

Not bad. I calibrated with the 10 and 7 as well, my RODI reading is 8.5 lol. 6.5 is more than fine, documentaries show wild Altums coming from 6.5, and they are more finicky than discus. I would do anything at this point to get down to 6.5

That's ridiculously high for RODI! What's normal tap?

I've been using a spectrapure piggy backed to produce 180 gpd and added the DI downline

Tap is about the same at 8.8. According the the pinpoint monitor my tap ( 440 tds) has same ph as pure RODI lol. Obviously reading incorrect.
