Have Verizon? read this

So those of you with Verizon and having a smart phone,, you'll probably get a letter regarding insurance on your phone. I got mine today... They decided to go with a new insurer and your rates for phone protection go up. They made it seem like it was minor, $10 to $11. Read the small print and the back of the letter. "your insurance deductible may change, see table"

I'd say it changed.. For my samsung S5 it went from $99 to $149 ! out of the 30 phones they listed, all but 5 went from $99 to $149 deductible . ( the 5 lucky ones are casio commando2,kyocera brigadier,Lg Lucid,Lg lucid 2,lg lucid 3,)

Did I ever mention I hate Verizon.

and that is why I have a tracfone smart phone. and yes my Tracfone uses Verizon towers but will reach and use others if necessary. I will be the first to admit its not perfect BUT which ones are?

Does it work and meet your needs? .. if so then it doesn't matter thats its a trac phone

more than I need and I do not have to pay monthly I put a bunch of minutes on them and Data to surf and get 6-8 months before I need to re-up I'm not a big phone user but use it to surf the web more than anything....but prefer a computer which I do not have except at work.

I used to pay $8 for the complete care but looks like it went up to $9. I might be switching to straight talk for half the price.

Yes, that's correct.

Since I work with aquariums all day I bought the insurance but when the phone drop in the water they didn't cover it.

Att was not much better. Got feed up with them. I switched to Ting, saving cash but the coverage is not great. Same maps as T-Mobile. You could check those maps if they work for you.

I've been with T-Mobile for 13 years and have always thought of going with because everyone always says great things about their coverage. However, I am on a grandfathered plan and really don't want to cancel what T-Mobile used to call their "truly unlimited plan". One month I got a 100gb warning (for 1 month usage!) on data usage, but T-Mobile never bottlenecked my service
