They look wonderful Phil.
I see you stuck it out with the sand bottom. Have you noticed much difference with the appearance of your group? Do you like the look of your tank and fish better?
They are beauties Phil and colors just pop with the natural sun rays.
Your very talented taking photos standing on your head...Lol

We're here for a good time...not a long time
Thanks Ralph! I really love when the sun sets through that window the Rays shine right in and the fish seem to love it and frolic in and around it. Every day is a bit different depending on the power of the sun, shadows, etc. it's one of my fave times of the day to watch my tank...
Doh! You may have to help me rotate those.
Joe- I've always had the sand bottom since I started the tank. I had ho ight about removing it or changing it but I am sticking it out. So I don't really have anything to compare them to. This has been the tank from the jump. I honestly love this tank, it's my dream tank sans about 400 gallons
I lucked out getting this wood it just gives this cool underwater forest look the fish love dipping in and out of the branches. I think it feels very natural to them.
Can't rotate pic Phil

Few cool group shots from this am
BEAUTIFUL Phil and I appreciate the neck stretches. I do want to point out that your wilds have only about a what 5-6 body length of swimming room along the length of the tank right?? Just saying....

Phil, these guys are acclimating and settling in very nicely. I am noting the nice color, lack of bars (in last nights photos) and the showing in a center bar in a couple of the fish.

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Jacklyn- They leader of the pack told me all members are very happy but they appreciate your concern Lol... I know what you are alluding to and I may need to get on your acrylic lay-away program as we have discussed... For now they are doing quite well and I suppose I will have to make some decisions soon. Your neck is welcome FYI...Bad enough my pics suck, but then they are crooked. Pat, matt, ricardo, one of these camera guru's may need to help me with that...
Pat - Thank you! They were showing heavy bars this am cause they were hounding me for food and new it was breakfast and they get rather feisty come feeding time. Last night I snuck up on them and they were much more natural as they frolicked in the sunset. There are 3 that rarely ever show bars, one thatis off and on and another who quite often shows his... Care to give me your thoughts or insight as to why ?
Phil, mine too show bars when they are begging or actively feeding. They seem to show little to no bar when they are relaxed. Wilds use their bars way more then domestics as you have observed. I have found as the fish acclimate over time they start to show a center bar like a couple of yours. When they come into spawning mode both genders show that center bar and the one behind it. I hope you get that far.

I call this the circle of love... Lol!!
Maybe it should be the circle of hunger... They do this like carousel move when they know food is coming they all get in like a circle and swim around like a wheel... Quite funny actually
top left looks incredibly similar to my split barred tefe. all looking good Phil, top center in bottom photo is a beaut
~JACKLYN~
Thank you very much! The split bar is kinda cool. I know he won't win any awards but I like him.
The one you refer to is the leader and very pretty
