Correction uv is the 40w model
Hello all.
Thought I would go big with my first post on the forum.
This is my second fishrack build I have done, the previous rack housed 3 10 gallons and a 29 gallon tank.
The rack in progress that will be replacing this old rack holds 5 20-29 gallon tanks(haven't fully decided yet and 6 10 gallon tanks(might get replaced with a single bigger tank later).
All the tanks in the rack will be plumbed together to drain into a fluidized filter using k1 media, I'm also using a lifegard filter system i had on hand, consisting of a ql 25 UV sterilizer a mechanical and chemcal filter module and a heater module.
The lighting consists of diy 4 24 watt t5 HO bulbs with reflectors setup.
The tanks will have acrylic lids before the system gets filled with water.

That's my progress so far I'll post more as I go along, might take me a while to finish it up as I want to make it look nice and the project has already been sitting around in various pieces for several months now.
If you have any questions ask away I'll do my best to answer all of them.
Ill try to get more pictures as I work on it.

Are you going to stain or paint the stand?
Quote from Colin Powell
"There are no secrets to success; don’t waste time looking for them. Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty to those for whom you work, and persistence. You must be ready for opportunity when it comes"
I've decided to not paint or stain the stand, I have already sealed the wood.
Here is some pictures of the progress made in the last few months, work on the stand has been slow, but it looks like it will be finished around the new year. Currently waiting on a few more fittings and bulkheads to arrive and a sealer for both the wooden tank in the front and the sump in the back. New system specs: 100 gallon growout tank, 5x 20 gallon aquariums, a 30 gallon fluidzed bed filter with k1 media, a new Deepwater Aquatics BLDC 15 DC water pump rated for 4200 gph. Almsot finished! just waiting on the liquid rubber to arrive.20161218_132923.jpg20161218_132933.jpg20161218_132946.jpg
