Default Looking for a male turq

Need a guaranteed male breeding size turq. I have 5 females and no one to love them. Please let me know if you have something.

Hey Jeff...I'm sure one of our many sponsor's may have a confirmed male that your ladies will take too.
A simple PM or e-mail will get it done unless you have already inquired.

    Good Luck,

I've contacted several of the sponsors. Basically always get the same answer: The only way to know it's a male is because it has paired up. They're not wanting to break up pairs because they sell for more. I completely understand that line of thinking, after all, they're in it as a business. Just amazing to me how difficult it is to find a single adult fish that's 100% gender identified.

Just a thought, have you tried Craiglist in your area or local Aquarium Clubs ?

Craigslist in my REGION. LOL. No, haven't hooked up with any aquarium clubs. I'm a member of local aquarium groups on facebook in the area. Africans seem to be all the rage around here. Not surprising...... Local water conditions are perfect for Africans. That's part of the reason I'm so proud to be breeding discus! Greater Metropolitan Louisville has over 1 million people. Of all the LFS in an area that size, only 2 have discus on a regular basis. The owners of the stores usually can't tell you exactly what kind of discus they have. "This is what my supplier sent me" is the standard answer. I can tell you from experience that I know more about discus than any LFS owner in the Louisville, Ky area. They always wind up asking me questions.

Jeff, can you post a picture of your females? Maybe I'll have a male who's similar.

20160504_155903.jpg This is a proven female. She's as red as she is blue. She mated with a male that was completely wrong for selling babies.

received_10207103602612407.jpg20160504_160506.jpg Both of these I'm pretty damn sure are females, but it isn't "proven" yet (they haven't mated).

You may want to reach out to Kraig, he is going to sell a lot of discus soon and I know for sure he has some males, and very impressive ones at that.
