    Default Miniature Aquascape

Planning to start a 11 gallon planted Aquascape. Driftwood in the center, thin bed of plants for now. Reading through and watching YouTube on planted tanks. Thinking of small puffer or any interesting fish. Any thoughts?

Looked at the title and the picture without reading the other text and thought the thread was mistitled. It should of been titled Empty tank.

Go for it... I started a 60gallon cube planted tank and loved it. My plants are growing out of control.

Thinking of a small tree in a meadow with a hanging cloud themed aquascape. Now, i need to work on "How to do" part

    1. Meadow - Dwarf grass.
    2. Tree - Moss attached to drift wood.
    3. Cloud - TBD

    Fishes
    1. Dwarf Puffer is my main focus
    2. Small school of neon's/shrimp's, if it fits in.

Liking the Puffer route. My Abei Puffer is max at 4.5-5". Big enough to be in his own tanks, but you cannot put any slow swimming fish in with him. He'll eat them and any snails that grows in the tank. They are very active and are like little water puppy. I'll take some photo of my setup tonight, now that the plants have over grown in the tank.

I don't use any aquascape soil just Ace Hardware pool filter sands. I got the DIY Co2 kit that I will be using shortly. Currently just using Seachem Excel bio Co2 and API Leaf Zone. These two combination works amazing to keep the plants healthy. For lighting i use 10K full spectrum ebay LED lights. It works amazing for such a cheap light.

My amazon sword and fern are growing out smaller swords and fern. I'm going to grow these out and sell or give it away to MWDH member who needs some plants.
