does anyone here keep endlers and are looking to get rid of some? I am setting up my niece a nano tank for her bedroom and have decided id like to put a small school of male poecilia wingei in there with some shrimp.

so I made my 3yo niece a small 5gal aquarium. I set it up about 7 or 8 months ago and let it settle in before gifting it to her this Christmas. Here are a couple pictures of the tank yesterday during the first water change since gifting it to her. It went a whole month almost and the only issue was some green algae that had accumulated on the glass. I have a nerite snail in there but he isn't doing his job very well. There are 5 fan tail (male) guppies, 5 amano shrimp and its a 5 gallon aquarium, so its very easy for her to remember the numbers when she tells her friends and all about her fish tank. In case you cant tell, the water has rooibos tea, I had taken 3 gallons of water that was already aging for a discus water change with me to do the maintenance yesterday.

and here is the video I made of it back in September when it was still in my basement settling down. I am seeing some serious growth on the anubias. There were several new leaves yesterday, as well as the crypt pondertiifolia had sent up a runner plant as well.

the tank is a marineland portrait 5 and the lighting is a fluval 13w mini plant led light I bought off amazon. its got eco complete with a layer of sand as the substrate.

What a cute little tank Jacklyn. I bet your niece adores it. Smart to not put any female guppies in there.

thanks pat, she wants some girl fish, its hard to explain to a 3yo why a girl fish will not be a good idea for that tank.

thanks Phil, you cant tell in the pic but she is standing on a little stool that puts her eye level with the tank on the kitchen counter. every afternoon she and her dad (my brother) feed the fish and her favorite part is watching the shrimp bolt through the water to try and grab a piece of fish food. I hope she will take a liking to fish aquariums like me, so far she enjoys feeding them, and she like the shrimp a lot.
