Default My first batch or wrigglers in a while

Though the batch may be small my Red Scarlets actually produced 22 wrigglers for their first time since coming to me. They should end up as a snack soon, but hey signs of new life in the fish room.

It is indeed a good feeling to see some breeding action after going for a while without any. Brings back that old excitement we used to feel!!

Congratulations. I've got a pair that's been quite content to raise small batches, and they're easier to keep up with. Maybe you'll get lucky.

I see you filled the space that I left behind Al. How is the breeding going with you?

    Mishka

Oh and they still have not eaten them.

    Thank you Akili and Smartinich.

When I read the bit about the 22 wrigglers should be a snack soon it really made me laugh. I have a new set of BD parents that recently progressed the furthest they had with a batch. Got free swimmers finally but no attachment. Several days on and most had died when a few decided to half-a$$ attach. Now after about 6 weeks, if memory serves me correctly, they're still taking care of 3 juvies. If I wasn't about to be entering my couple of months of traveling for work I'd be annoyed or have done something about it, but since I don't really want to deal with fry at the moment I said the heck with it and let them go. Perhaps the smallest "successful" batch of fry in SD history. lol

Funny that you should mention that. I thought for sure they would be a snack but don.t you know however many survived of the cone are attaching. Second smallest batch in SD history?
