They sure do look plump! Nice job man!

I must say, you did the "mixed bag" quite perfectly... I tend to lean towards the single strain tanks or a slight mix, but if I was going to do a one of each sort of theme I would follow your choices pretty much to a T!

Thanks appreciate it. Being my first go around we really wanted to see several different strains. The next tank will most likely be a single strain

I owe a lot to Kenny for his quality stock and support

Now that is the tough question. I really want to do a fry growout so it will really depend on what is available at the time

Just a small update. I haven't posted many good pics of this fish since it has been very shy since I got him. Now that it is becoming more social I snapped a few new pics. It is shaping up nicely and developing some nice pattern and color although seems to be a somewhat slow grower. Depending on it's mood the color really varies and the bars and halo come and go6132017154834.jpg6132017154855.jpg6132017154914.jpg6132017154937.jpg

I remember the day you got him Ryan. What a swan he has become- although he was gorgeous from day one. He has really come along nicely. Well done!

K......enny sure picked out a nice one for you!

Good to hear he is finally stepping out of his safety bubble net.

Thanks Filip. Not sure on size but I did get him from Kenny last November I believe. I had ordered him at 4" but ended up getting once quite a bit smaller. Kenny chose a smaller fish with nicer shape for me.

Since my sump is sitting idle until I find a free moment to build my stand I figured I'd go ahead with the purigen reactor for now I teed into my canister return and use an inline ball valve to throttle flow.

I guess you need to choose 1080p for quality to actually see the action

This is my first attempt at a purigen reactor and seems to be working well so far.
