They look awesome Paul. Your parents are doing well with them.
Pat
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Thanks Pat! I may be getting a aquarium here in Jersey soon. I keep talking myself out of it but I really need some heckles in my life...
Wow Paul... Never get tired of seeing pics of those guys...
Don't lie, you are getting a new tank cause your Mom is keeping these! Haha, she is doing amazing with the upkeep. Who knew you had a discus specialist in your own home
Did you say heckles !!
What are you thinking??
Appreciate it Phil. Let's see if I decide to go through with these heckles here in the future. All depends on if I have time to care for them.
Quick update on the wilds. A few water quality issues happened in the last few weeks. I think my fx6 hose needs to get changed again. Seems the hose seems to trap a lot of debris in it. I'll be home at the end of the month to swap it out with clear tubing.
Thanks to skype I've had to ability to see these guys quite often along with my crackhead dog.
Very nice looking tank. The fish are beautiful! Your Mom is doing a great job!
They all look superb as always ... what were the water quality issues? You think it was just the pipe trapping ?
Came home for a few weeks... been having some water quality issues with these guys. I think the aquarium may of went through a mini cycle. Had a little ammonia and nitrite spike. Not really the way to enjoy a vacation from work by doing daily water changes. Looks like one discus may of gotten a little ill, been a little dark on and off it the healthiest eater of the bunch. Just hoping the low pH (6 after aging) kept the factor of an ammonia spike at bay for the most part.
Good news is minus the 1 potential sick guy the rest are doing well and the pair have been doing a little dance the past few days. I also added a inkbird temp controller and pothos plants.
