beautiful fish, are those wild crossed fish? can we see a full tank shot?
This tank is a culmination of all I learned here and over my first year with discus. I didn’t do a build thread because of all the blood, sweat, tears, and pipe solvent setting up my first sump.
I’m really happy with it, especially with a nice group of healthy, hungry, and well behaved group of discus.

Very nice. I always like one variety of discus per tank rather than a mixture.
IMG_0101.jpgIMG_0105.jpgIMG_0103.jpgThey are Alenquer F1’s. 7 of them about 4.5”. Eating really well.
I have some Alenquer F1's as well. Nice fish!
Really really nice! Who is the source of those babies??
Keep us updated as they grow, you are doing great!
Thanks guys. I got them from Mike Deegan at Blackwater Aquaria down the road from me in Meriden. He has a good supply of sub adults to adults. I love being able to pick them out in person, plus he is always a fun visit. These guys were in a 75 all together. He said that most people would come down and ignore these fish and focus on the paint buckets in the other tanks. . I saw their beauty right away and snapped up the whole tank.
My ten year old daughter had the idea to layer the paint for the background. I trusted her, and was happy to have her involved.
nice clean selection of Discus.
