Sorry...THIS my kind offish-house-restaurant.jpg fish house!
Fancy guppy breeders have all gone back to box filters filled with glass wool and marbles to weigh them down!

At my age, everything is irritating.
Our first tank in my immediate family (my dad and mom and I ) was back in like 1993 i believe. And its been running on stop since then. Over 23 years now. Its a Perfecto 30g rectangle tank. Right now it has a bunch of guppies and platies in it. I havent re-sealed it yet but it needs it. Original pump too, and original heater until i broke it the other day lol.
MY first tank my mom bought me i was 15 and that was 15 years ago it was a 27g hexagon. Im 30 now, i recently drained it and put it in storage as i just got a 135g tank 34 years old from a guy with a iron stand for $100 that i re-sealed and put it in my bedroom, i put the 27g hex in storage and my 92g in my bedroom downstairs.
Lookie, lookie what I found in my basement today IMG_7311.JPG
Quote from Colin Powell
"There are no secrets to success; don’t waste time looking for them. Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty to those for whom you work, and persistence. You must be ready for opportunity when it comes"
I remember that stuff, how did that stuff recharge??
Ha, sounds just like me, except I usually always had a couple firemouth or jewel cichlids. My thing was 'testing their aggressive skills' so I had a bunch of 10gal tanks to keep them all separate until I could pair each in turns. I never let any get seriously hurt though. Once I started getting african cichlids even the smaller ones blew the competition right away.
If my tank had an under-gravel filter & air stone I had the best and was set.
EDIT: yes this was when I was a kid, maybe 9-10 yrs old
