    Default Geophagus Sveni

Had these guys about a week and they are a bit skinny and ratty from being recently import but they are active and eating like pigs. They will become tankmates to my F1 Altums which currently reside in the 230.

This is what they will look like once fully recovered and mature.

a beautiful fish pat, sheesh their mouths are huge, its like they have a permanent frown lol. I love the color and the extra long and flowy feelers they have. Ive always been a fan of geos but have never kept them, maybe one day.

Thanks Jacklyn. Ryan tells me they are mouth brooders. I am super excited about these guys. Not sure whether they are adults or not but they are certainly a good size.

Those are nice Pat. I have always wanted some but figured that they need deep substrate... something I usually avoid having. How much sand do you think they need?

Very nice Pat. Will be fascinating to watch when they breed. Are you worried about them being aggressive towards your Altums when they do?
    We're here for a good time...not a long time

I will cross that bridge when I get there Joe. I have another large tank if I need to separate them.

Those look more like Geophagus altifrons to me but I'd need closer pictures or video to know for sure.
