I now think they've been grazing on the flower pot, but I'm sure they have not been on the parents until this morning. Unless they only nurse at night.
And I only Pythoned the bottom. Good thing.
Another thing: they aren't in a tank, but a plastic tub from Container Store; it's only semi-transparent.
Those fry can start taking babybrineshrimp, a few have bent spinal.

Good thing I only Pythoned the bottom. Also, these are not in a tank, but in a plastic tub from Container Store, so it's not easy to see everything that's going on.
In any case, there seem to be many more than "a couple dozen." I'll say about 65.
I just hatched a first batch of BBS. But in reading the stickies, I find ref to "CBW." What is "CBW"? Maybe some kind of bloodworm?

I think it means California Blackworms. There's a supplier in the sponsor section that I think sells live ones. Many folks use the freeze-dried blackworms. Al, the forum owner sells them (aquaticsuppliers.com) and others do also.

Sorry, I did not see the second page of posts on this thread, and so I repeated myself. But I still want to know what "CBW" is.
I will start feeding BBS in the morning. (They started hatching this eve.) Meanwhile, I have been squirting an infusion of frozen BBS and Hikari "First Bites," which they seem to be eating. Anyway, they look excited in the cloud.
You say they have "bent spinal"? Do you see this from the pic, or do you make an inference from other data?
I found this link that may help.

Cliff, they are 3 weeks old today. None of them has anything even remotely resembling a "bent spinal." Sorry about that.
I am going to try to post a couple pix in a new thread. (Always a challenge.)

Mac ,
The bent spinals were probably culled by the parents,
bent spinals and some other deformation are usually culled out at much early age by the parents
but your fry were hiding somewhere . What parents
have a difficult culling are sliders, otherwise it looks
great.
Nice Job,
Cliff
