New Wild Discus
I am so excited to have received 5 Wild Laranjal Reds from John! I had to sell my wild Japura green discus a few years ago when we moved. I just got these guys in yesterday and they are doing great! They are not shy or skittish at all. They have already eaten a few blood worms and flakes. I ordered some of Als FDBW and should get them soon. Anyways, I just wanted to show off my new babies. I think they look great for just being in the tank for 30 hours or so. The pictures rotated and I cannot figure out how to correct it. 20161229_220130.jpg20161229_220157.jpg20161229_220108.jpg

Re: New Wild Discus
I have them in a 120 gallon tank with 8 diamond tetras and 2 Geophagus Mirabilis. The tank is decorated with pool filter sand and Manzanita branches. I use well water in all my tanks. PH is 6.7 and GH around 50 ppm. Temp is kept at 82 degrees.20161229_222739.jpg

Re: New Wild Discus
Thanks for all the compliments! The sand is pool filter sand. I have had the tank mates the discus are with for over a year. I would love to have 3 to 5 more discus in there! I will update you all with new pics as they grow.
