SO I have been hanging around here for a bout a year.. and have really gotten into discus.. The wild types are still my favorite but they have been a challenge to say the least...lol

I think I am getting the hang of it and figured I would share my Red Spotted Greens I got a few months ago.. let me know what you think

Absolutely gorgeous. Pretty pronounced bars though. Are they usually like this?

If they are always showing bars this strong there is something that is bothering them. You want them to look more like this. The one in the back is showing bars as it was in breeding mode.

What is your source for them, where are you located?

Why only 2... are you seeing breeding activity for them or think they are a pair?

discus, especially I find wilds, to be much more needy of a group to feel secure... do you plan to add to them or obtain a school of them?

They came from segrest farms... they were donated to my local club NJAS- so i bought them at the monthly auction. North Jersey, there were only 2 there. That was originally a quarantine tank - but they were doing so well and getting along so well i decided to make it permanent with a few small adds. They act pairish but nothing substantial like cleaning a spot or anything. Like I said original plan was to add them to my other wilds but I liked them where they were.

Oh nice! Any pics of that...?

I didn't even know a place like seagrest carried wilds, especially RSG's

Care to share what you won them for at auction...?

Are all your wilds from seagrest?

Let me take a good one.. actually in the middle of a WC as we speak..lol I stole them... 25 bucks a piece.. I was actually planning on ordering them through a friend of mine that has a store from there at 150 each and dumb luck they showed up at the meeting. No only those.. the Heckels and Cupiera are from Discus origins and the Alenquer are from Snook.
