    Default Heavy weather

IMG_0146.jpgHere's how I'm planning on handling a potential power outage due to storms tonight. 1000 watt Generator (two stroke) is on the way but not soon enough. In the mean time West Marine has a bait tank areator powered by a 12 volt battery. It has a 12" wand that sprays the tank surface water much like an Eheim. You can place it in a cooler to retain the heat or in the tank directly.

Interesting idea. We bay area folks forget what it's like to have a legit storm now and again lol

Good to know in case of an outage for those that don't have an generator.

Here's another option for providing air via a battery backup air pump.. great idea!

I've ordered two as it has a dual air supply built into the pump. As to heating the water, boil some water then place in a sealed water bottle and place in the tank. Would work in a pinch.

I snagged a couple of these at walmart for under 10 bucks:

I also have a generator if things get bad, but these are easy to use before filling the gen up with gas and taking outside and running cords.

Yes.. that was plan A. I was able to feed two (2) tanks with a regulator valve.
