Coloration/Bars Question
Perhaps a stupid question, but I was wondering about the prevalence of "stress" bars on my fish and if I should expect to see them less over time. My group of 5 wild Curuais is now about 2 months post-import and well acclimated to their aquarium. They now rush to the side of the tank any time I walk by or approach the aquarium. Nearly every time they see me and exhibit "begging" behavior, their bars come out almost instantly. I know that when they are at rest and can't see me, they usually exhibit their normal (very pretty) coloration, but for the most part every time I see them (and they see me) they have their bars up, which is a little frustrating.
Is this just something that will eventually go away over time? Or is it normal and to be expected? I would appreciate any input. My prior wild discus were red spotted greens and rarely showed their bars.

Re: Coloration/Bars Question
It's normal. When it comes to wilds it's more of a mood bar than a stress bar.
