Default Uatuma Red Spotted Green and Madeira Heckels

Just picked up 6 Uatuma RSG and 6 Madeira Heckel. My first ever wilds. Really excited. Will post better pics once they're settled. L095 had to come home with me, too.

I think these are the first ever Wilds directly imported from Brazil to Dubai.

Nice collection of wild!! Just a word of caution L095 pleco grow up to 15 inches,I would keep them away from tank with Discus.

Thanks Akili, I know people sometimes seem to have problems with plecs and discus, but I never had an issue. He's about 10 inch now, if he makes trouble he voes to a differen tank, no worries

Little update after the first week, they are doing great, eat like piranhas (2 of the greens were very thin when I got them) and most importantly are healing nicely. As you can see in the pictures, I'm still working on their fins re the fungus. 2 of the Greens were pretty bad, and one of those had a large wound on his right side which is already closed up and the fungal infection gone. They'll remain in their current qt situation for some more weeks and then move to their bigger permanent tank. The cories you can see are C. eques, and the pics don't show the Biotoecus opercularis and Dicrossus maculatus groups.

They had a Flubendazole treatment first, now they are just on paraguard for the fungus. I'm contemplating Metro after that, but I don't want to hit them too hard right now and let them settle a bit more. Paraguard is doing its job well though, the plec looked horrible when I got him, looks like new now

Great job! I am contemplating a second dose of paraguard on my tank after seeing one with some repeat symptoms.

What is your experience with that, if any? Multiple doses. I did 10 days then 10 off was gonna go a full 2 weeks this time?

The L95 only took about 5 days, he arrived a week before the discus. I had him on stressguard before the para and that worked quite well already. The discus have been on it for 3 days now, and have vastly improved as well as one of the cories which had 2 huge lumps on his side. They're gone already. I'll keep them on for a week and see where we stand. I think it's fairly mild though and I don't see any harm in trying for 2 weeks

The tank mates. The B. opercularis is a male, the others of his group and the D. maculatus are too young to judge.
Not your average colorful dwarfs but I really like them.
