I've had the neons with them for two months without issue, and I recently added some more. I've had the discus for about a year, and they haven't had any health issues and overall seem to be doing well. Lately I've been noticing some scrapes on my peaceful discus, and I've seen a lot more aggression overall.
I think I need to sell the more aggressive discus- after all this aggression I'm far too resentful of her to keep her. I'm debating keeping the peaceful one alone now. My other option is to add a breeding pair from my area. Would a trio work? Would I need to have an equal ratio of females to males? Can I keep my remaining discus by herself?
I know a shoal of 5-6 is recommended, and within the next year I'm planning to move and get a 75 or 90 gallon and keep a larger group. In the interim, what will be best for my remaining discus?
