Hello fellow Oregonian and welcome to SD! We love to see pics so keep us informed of your progress.
Getting back into keeping discus. Haven't had a tank for over 10 years. Purchased a 125 gallon tank, and just filled it with water last night needless to say I'm pretty stoked. Looking forward to doing some aquascaping over the next couple of weeks. Glad to have this forum, and wealth of knowledge. Hope you all are well.

Thank you. I'll try and figure out how to possibly post some pics this evening. Heading down to my local lfs to see about getting some plants.
Welcome !!
What is your plan for discus and stocking ?
Tanks alot Philly! So I'm thinking of going with discus Hans stock, and starting off with some 2-2.5" fish. I'm going back and forth between possibly getting 10 all at once or maybe five now, and five later. I just finished attaching some java fern, Anubis, and java moss to some Malaysian, and Manzanita driftwood. I've tried to attach a photo of the tank so far but for some reason I'm not smart enough to figure it out.
You can use the icon in the posting frame, 3rd from the right, to add a pic. It needs to be less than 2 mb, so you may need to resize. I use my email program to resize it, but the are other programs available that will do it. Let us know if you need help.

Hey I figured it out kinda. Here's what I have so far. Resizing the picture seems to affect picture quality.

Nice to have a fellow Portlandian on the forum! Your tank is looking good, can't wait for pics with discus! Btw, we are lucky to have great water for discus here in Portland!
It's nice to have another Oregonian here. I'm in Albany.
Got my 3d background, and new led light on the tank today. 20170131_164058-2016x1512-806x605.jpg
It looks gorgeous!
Thank You! I'm pretty happy with it just a little concerned because my intake for my filter is behind the background. Me being the genius that I am, cut the filter hose short to make for a clean install, and now I'm limited to where I can place it until I can get some more hose.
Nice background. May I ask where you got that?

Very Nice! I used to live across the water in Washougal but hit the "Wet Spot" many times. Always seem to have pretty decent plants and fish. In Texas now and sure don't miss the OR/WA rain.... Mike
