All my Discus that are a year old get only two feedings per day.
I have 6 Discus that are all stunted. Some due to getting them this way when purchased, others I believe due to higher nitrate levels in my planted tank.
Regardless of the stunted growth I like my discus the way they are and want to keep them as long as possible. They seem to be otherwise healthy. 2 of them mate and lay eggs frequently. I have had them in this stunted stage for over a year and keep feeding them around 3 times per day. Question is since they are stunted can I cut back on feeding to once or twice a day? Or should they still get 3 or even more feedings?
All my Discus that are a year old get only two feedings per day.
Quote from Colin Powell
"There are no secrets to success; don’t waste time looking for them. Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty to those for whom you work, and persistence. You must be ready for opportunity when it comes"
I will cut down then and try that. May be able to keep the tank a little cleaner since they are not growing anyways.
How long does it take them to finish their food per feeding?
