Default Pair with eggs, now not eating

A few weeks back I had two discus pair up and they fertilized eggs for 2-3 weeks but they were unsuccessful, the male ate the eggs. After the failed attempts, the male doesn't eat at all, the female eats very little. Is anything wrong?

Maybe they are sick, stressed and not getting enough water change.

This is not normal in my experience, so something is up.

Don't discus go through periods of eating?

I have noticed this for some of my discus in the past. They start eating again when they want to.

They look fine, no symptoms. Just avoids food.
