    Default Pleco identification

Hi guys hoping someone can help me. I have recently started a planted community tank for my son. Wanted something he can be more involved with than the discus tank. I really enjoy plecos but decided to remove them from the discus tank due to the mess.

Was at one of my local lfs and saw this little guy labeled as a lemon drop. The more I search about them I find very little info. From what I read it's a color morph of the standard bristlenose. Some just say that it's a sales pitch to sell a slightly different looking bristlenose. Any photo I find do not look like this one.

Did I get lucky and score a gold nugget for a low low price or is this the obscure lemon drop??

Thanks for your opinions and info. 115201717276.jpg1152017172632.jpg

Thanks. Just looks so much different color wise than any other ones I have seen. Will be interesting to see how it turns out.

looks like a nice BN to me. Gold Nuggets look much different, spots are very symmetrical.

He is a beautiful pleco. I love when they get a big larger and have their dorsal fin up. That one will be gorgeous. Nice find Ryan, whatever they call him.

Thanks Jenene. Usually when he sees me trying to sneak up on him his dorsal pops up. He is still pretty tiny

It is diffidently not a Ancistrus dolichopterus which is L183 White Seam my personal favorite. Ryan you have a Bristle/Bushy Nose Pleco.
