    Default diy pump for water changes

    i have a python but want to cut my time down some more. i would like a a/c pump with inlet and outlet spigots. i can't find one thats a/c only d/c are available. any tips on what you use. i know i can get a converter but then thats more stuff. any ideas

    I use these as submersibles in my aging barrels. But once primed I think they work externally too.

    can you put an intake hose o it to do water changes out of the tank? it might not prime though, even if i put water in the line there might be enough air to lose prime. just trying to talk through this, does this sound right with your pump

    I think you need to fill the line with water, either fill it yourself, or start a siphon or something like that.

    i read the description, they also work as an in line pump. what model do you have and what size tubing do you use for your discharge

    I'm lifting water out of my Brute cans, travelling about 20 level feet and up the 5 feet to the top of my tanks. The pump has pipe threads on it. I bought a couple pvc connectors and connect a 3/4" drinking water RV hose. I drop the pump in the Brute and run the hose to my tanks. I also plug the pump into a remote switch. Very convenient. I started with Model 2, moved up to Model 5, and now use the Model 9.5 to fill. I would think at least the Model 5.
