I saw a utube video by an asian prof. who uses goldfish one per tank & says they will clean up better than anything else. Take with a grain of salt but try looking it up

I like Endlers, they're from a similar region too, but I just like them, and they constantly breed giving the Discus a natural live food source, they don't bother the adults.

Plecos , for eating the excess food that ends up on the bottom .

From what I see from my group of discus , my discus are always hungry and grazing for food... so really don't seem to need any catfish.
