Thanks Al~! I wish I would have captured one of the gold rams attacking the FDBW, it is hilariously aggressive. All fish love FDBW, although the tetras can't seem to figure out how to eat it off of the glass..

Thanks Ryan! I love working with planted tanks, it (almost) fulfills my green thumb during the wintertime. This is a high tech tank with CO2 and auto-ferts, so these plants grow really fast. Every two weeks I fill up half a garbage bag with cuttings. The FDBW are turning my gouramis into discus!

I stuck a cube on the glass last night and within seconds my bichir ripped off about 80% of the cube and swallowed it lol

I'll take one. They are really cool. I wanted to do a school of small fish in this tank but my son was dead set on a bichir so that was a no go. I found in my last planted tank that they are ravenous hunters as all my otos disappeared. I am pretty sure this one ate my apisto which was a surprise but he has gone missing lol. Fortunately the rainbows are denison barbs are too fast

I had a couple otos in my discus tank and I put them in the new planted hoping there was plenty of hiding places for them. Here is "sea serpent", as my son calls him, stalking an oto21201794644.jpg

Love him! He looks like he is about to breathe fire and rescue Dany Targaryen from the Sons of the Harpy!

Lol exactly. Very interesting to watch. Definitely something prehistoric or game of thrones lol. He is on the move 90% of the time but so odd looking when they can rest on plant leaves like they are weightless
