Default Which one is worse ? Higher GH or higher KH ?

    Hi everyone,
Hope you all are fine. I do use RO water (20~40 tds) for small scale discus breeding purpose which is working fine so far. My concern is water for Discus fish grown up from 1 month aged fry to adult, other than breeding.

In my regular water source I have found both GH (turns from orange to green) & KH (turns from blue to yellow.) is 15 & 16 api drop test and tds is 250ppm approx with ph 7.6~8.2. The water looks little greenish and slippy. I just filter the water using several 20" Jumbo PP cartridge before going to storage. The water directly coming from deep under earth using submersible pump.

Is there any risk, like, damage fish internal or externally i want to use this water? if need I can manipulate some, like I can make the water soft (GH become 4 ~6) drop test using resin filter cartridge where KH remain same as before i.e.,15. And also can reduce ph by using "Almond Leave" as I have couple of Almond tree beside my fish house.

Though my objective is to make the fish well fitted for hard water (KH & GH 15, ppm 250ppm) if tolerable risk is there. So I am looking for your feedback regarding the possible scenario & risk if there is any at your mind.

Thank you & Deeply waiting for your input...
    Kind Regards,

Your question is difficult to answer since KH is a component of GH.

However, your situation is manageable. Discus will have no problem growing in higher KH/GH water. My personal experience is that they actually grow a little better, slightly larger with earlier color development. You really only need to put discus into soft water right before they spawn.
