Not really tank related, but I'm considering buying a digital scale, primarily for use in activities in my math classes, but probably eventually for something in the fishroom, too. Similar to what you'd find in a HS chem or physics class. Just looking for recommendations.
I'm talking about the desktop size gram scales; maybe up to a kg, 5?, down to .000?

Scales are only accurate to a limited range. So if you're measuring medication, it should be accurate down to 1 mg. These are analytical scales, very pricey and mounted on a marble slab to minimize vibration. On the flip size, I can pick up a used digital scale on Craig's List that can measure accurately to 10 gm for < $50. Something like that allows me to accurate measure 500 gm to 1 kg quantities to mix up my dechloramine solution. So what kind of scale you buy really depends on your objective, i.e. what do you want to weigh.
