Very aesthetic and eye pleasing tank look Matt.
I can't wait to see discus swimming in this beauty.
What's your plan about discus numbers and strains ?
Is it going to be discus only tank ?
Are you planing an open top tank and do you consider puting lids on the top ?
I sure will be following your progress.

That is going to be an awesome tank. I hope there is a very comfy sitting spot right in front of it.
What kind of lighting are you running?
Can't wait to see what you do with it from here. Filip has posed a lot of great questions!

Hi Filip I'm thinking about going with 10 adult discus for strains I'm going to do a variety thinking probally 4 spotted 2 pegions 2 blues 2 reds and debating about throwing a white one in there not sure yet and I also have lids for the top and I'm adding a conapy for the tank just haven't put it on yet and also I'm thinking about going with cardnials tetras with a few fancy plecos but thanks for the reply cant wait to get some discus in there
Jenene I am running two 36 inch aquaticlife edge leds getting excited to get this tank going!
heres a better picture thinking about maybe adding another piece of driftwood to the other side maybe a few rocks too17410377_10208365154793518_1269415491_n.jpg
Another taller piece of driftwood with similar structure on the opposite side of the tank would def. look nicer .
And the LED's give the background much better colouring and natural look too.Nice lights .
like it.
is the bump out on the left functional or just aesthetic?
my 2 cents:
1. substrate, if you add in some gravel it gives more varied look than all sand.
2. i agree about more wood, and you could attach some ferns to the wood them as well. if you don't want plants, consider the root look people do
bump on the left is a heater cover I ordered from universal rock and jack L what root look can you you give me an idea or post a picture to give me a better idea but thanks for all the replies
im getting ready to order mystic white for my 130 and was wondering did you order 1 50 LBS or 2 i like the depth of your sand thick enough but not to thick...Nice Job on tank....
** I use to dream of Unicorns ** NOW I dream of Discus with the colors of the Rainbow **
Love that background. Your fish are going to feel really lucky living there. I almost want to jump in myself!
