I really think you need to do salt dips.... This is looking more and more like protozoan out break. If you don't do salt dips, You stand a chance of loosing them all. Salt dip to a new clean tank or tub, and then break down this tank they are in...sterilize it and repeat the salt dips daily until this clears up.

Alternatively, you could try seachem paraguard or formalin and Malachite green.

I treated them for 48 hrs with the furan and when I did my large water change again last nite I didn't add the furan. Cause I wanted to see how they were without the meds. The seemed pissed that the meds where in there

IDK sean I see an improvement in the two fish that seemed most affected after a weekend of furan. do you not see an improvement in the coloring and the white spot? were it me I would not have stopped treatment of something that appeared to be working. Perhaps Al is right and this is a protozoan issue, that being said salt dips will help tremendously, as will a "quick cure" treatment which is a widely popular medication consisting of malachite green and formalin. Do not use it in combination with the furan 2 though. I am sort of at a loss for what advice to give you next.

So that's why I did just water change this time. But I planned on getting more furan 2 just didn't buy enough at once.

A microscope is the only sure way Sean, but there are some symptoms that after you have seen them a while, you just recognize as being possibly parasites.
