    So I found this article titled"Who discovered lactation in discus fish?".I am not sure on legitimacy of the info provided,but thought it would be worthwhile sharing it up here.Discus geeks your opinion on this?

    Very cool to me. I used to soak up books on Discus like a sponge in the 90's. I was 12 or 13 when I got into them. Loved reading about Axelrod, Schmidt-Focke, Wattley, Bergen (sp?), and the rest of them. Never knew that though. Axelrod's life in general is a tale all to itself.

    I don't want to give away my age but I did buy some
    of Dr Chuck Wall's Discus back then.
    He named his Discus, Wall's Colbalt, they were actually Heckel crosses. Maybe that's where the name
    Colbalt started.
