One bigger black dot straight back from eyeball and another small one underneath where dosale fin starts incase you can't see them
Two black spots popped up on my discus today... important to know I'm pretty sure my discus have ich from cardinal Tetras I didn't quarantine(live and learn) white dots appeared on a few. Will be treating with paraguard tomorrow. No symptoms as of yet everyone is acting normal and eating fine. However not sure about these black spots, maybe another kind of parasite? Currently doing daily water changes and temp is at 86IMG_1471.jpg

Hello,
I don't think they are parasites but it will be interesting to see if the paraguard affects them. How long have you had the fish? Are these black spots something that were always there?
It looks just like a concentration of pigment.its possible its the result of damage to pigment cells but honestly no clue. You could try netting the fish and dabbing it with hydrogen peroxide.

Just showed up yesterday for sure been observing closely due to ich and wasn't there Saturday. Had fish since September. Did read somewhere about spots being damage. Makes sense since the bigger spot showed up that big didn't grow to that size
Look closer are those a dozen black dots along the
lateral line?

Don't see any more than those two....haven't treated with paraguard yet just came in the mail today but it already appears to be fading/clouding not nearly as black almost as if it's being covered over. My bet is on an injury time will tell.
