    Default Diatom Filter

    Anyone ever use a Diatom Filter ? I used to use one years ago every couple of weeks even though I was doing WCs. It seemed to keep the water crystal clear.

    I use them in special circumstances, like a diatom bloom or something.
    Otherwise I find them a PIA and messy to use.

    Diatom filters are awesome. They are capable of filtering out even something so small even like pesky ich. It's been many many since I've used one. They are good to have around in case of emergencies.
