As long as the parameters are on point, I don't see a reason to meddle with the water. A more stable environment seems to be the way for wilds, but I'm still learning as I go.
Plus it's less work, less stress on the fish.
Also the rest of the world doesn't seem to have such a water change fetish as most Americans seem to have lol. Proper filtration seems to be key here, tooo. If I only had a couple sponge filters in there it would be a whole different story

Plumbing in progress. All filters except the FX6 are stand ins and will be replaced with cycled filters from the holding tanks. One more Eheim 2180 to come, but only have one stand in right now. Ran out of hose pipe, more work tomorrow, hopefully including leak testing.
Sorry for the poorly lit pictures.

Wifey siliconing my homemade weirs, she does a much cleaner job than I ever could. Should be able to push the tank into it's final space tomorrow and start scaping.

Thanks guys. Tank is in place, working on the lights and lid now. Scaping tomorrow. One piece of wood still floating, will need some weight. Shame

The cover: simple frame, two Juwel HeliaLux LED lights and a couple plastic sheets which will be attached to the lights with hinges for easy opening. Will spray paint the sheets tomorrow.

Can't wait to see it finished and scaped! This one should be nice! The horde looks good.

The scape as it is now, will leave it for the time being. The rock on the right root will come off once it doesn't float anymore.

The roots are still leaking a lot of tannins. Ironically this is the only tank which is not supposed to be black water themed. So the plan is to stay with clearwater on this one. The heckels will get very heavily tinted water though.

3 Colombians and the L091 are in. Lights off for the day, will switch on when in dusk mode.
If they are alright tomorrow (sure they will be) I'll move the rest.

Everybody moved, and they already beg and eat. Cloudiness will disappear in the next few days, as will their stress bars.
