Any luck offing the other tank on CL? Or any plans to do something with it?

Not yet. I just moved it into the basement for now. I am going to just keep relisting it. May sell off the marine equipment separately. There is an Eshopps overflow box and a Hydor nano internal skimmer-both only 6 months old.

I think the tall tank would make a gorgeous planted tank but not for me. I will have my hands full with the other three tanks.

    Thanks for asking though.

You are hilarious! Only if you have room for me and four tanks at your house. I would be escorted curbside by the hubby.

FYI I also come with a yellow lab, 2 Ragdoll cats and a fish pond.

be advised, many have reported that the connection from tank to sump is a very weak point. If you can beef that up by either putting in better BH's or better connections, I would do so

Thanks Ricardo I had heard that the pipes break if you try to take them back out. It is surprising to me that everything else is top quality and then they do that with the most necessary parts! I have planned on getting pvc to replace it. You are good! On top of your stuff! Thanks for that!

about a year ago I started research on salt water tanks. I know the ins and outs of setting up a tank, yet, I am still in progress with my build, lol.

Yes, I am realizing this hobby takes patience. Discus are kind of instant gratification unless you are growing out fry or building your own sump!

Did you see people were ordering replacement parts inside the warranty times to be prepared when they break?

Thanks again for the heads up. I really appreciate it.

Thanks so much Al. It all started here, so I have you to thank.

The discus and I have settled into a nice routine. I would love a bigger built in discus tank but without reconstructing two rooms it will have to wait- so in the meantime I decided to give this a try.

I started poking around in the Marine section and found that these days small reef tanks can be done. I hear what you are saying. I tried my hand at a 55 gallon salt water tank years ago and became frustrated by not having the proper knowledge to do it correctly. The guys here have been more than great. I don't think I would have gotten to this point without them.

I had made some bad mistakes on my first tank selection but have finally been put back on track. This is going to be a challenge but lots of fun. I am looking forward to meeting some of the members who have been so generous with their time and knowledge in May.

    Thanks Al!
