Very exciting... standing by for sure! Do you think the others don't notice the eggs to go after them or is the mom just holding her ground?

EVERYONE notices the eggs, the dicrossus, ancistrus and discus all notice the eggs. The father does an excellent job keeping all the other discus to the other side of the tank and the dicrossus to the bottom of the tank which is where they normally stay anyway. I am almost 100% sure the last batch was eaten by the parents themselves.

well eggs are gone. They were still present at 10pm last night so I left the night lights on all night again, but were gone at 6am this morning when I woke up. bummer. but I was able to snap some good pictures of the parents for the record. Now this is during the sunrise time frame of my LED light, the blue lights are more prominent than the red and white so it makes them look more blue sometimes than green but they are true wild green tefe discus. I'm getting a little perturbed at people accusing me of not having true wilds. now to the pictures.

actually I'm not 100% sure that is the male she spawned with. It could be the one above her in the last picture. There are two big ones that she flirts with and I cannot tell them apart.

    Jacklyn,
Bummer on the eggs! I had my fingers and toes crossed! A suggestion. Place a breeding cone, or piece of PVC pipe in their of even a flower pot. Theres a good likihood that they will chose that surface. If they do you can easily screen the eggs.

Alternatively, take your female and the two "males" and place all three in a tank. You will know very quickly which is the females choice.

Al, I had planned on putting my breeding cone in there with tonight's water change actually. I really want to get wrigglers to know for sure I have a proven pair before I go all in and set up a breeding tank/grow out tank. I'm considering setting up a 40B in my basement for the pair once they produce wrigglers. And once my new show tank (110 gal acrylic) is set up I will have this spare 75 as a grow out tank.

none of this is set in stone, I'm considering poret foam in the main tank too and let them try and raise a group in the show tank also, idk I have a lot to consider.

People are claiming your wilds aren't wild? What they think they are F1 or something? They look awfully wild to me!

added the breeding cone last night during a larger-than-normal water change. this morning the female was cleaning it until she saw the food then she forgot what she was doing lol I put it over in the far right, near where they last spawned.

They will spawn again for sure. I have seen also that they do move the wrigglers around the tank when they spawn on the display tank especially now that you introduce the cone, in regard to the lights I suggest using those outlet wall plug in LED near the site of spawning is not as strong as keeping the lights on , but still good enough to see, they come in green and blue but for me the one that produce better results with my pairs is the white kind.
    Keep us posted.
