Looks like a nice tank and could easily be an awesome set up, but I agree with the other, not at that price tag!

You are comparing brand new to used and in this hobby, used means pennies on the dollar. A lot of folks who are selling don't realize this, but will as their listing just sits because the price is too high or they get a sucker who comes along...

Don't be the sucker, or make a low ball offer and negotiate it down!

    ouchhhhh!

I usually start with at least 50% of new on a used tank and the stand, canopy etc. as throw ins...

Most stands and canopies are junk....let alone used junk.

I just bought a 110 gallon acrylic. it has seamless beveled corners on the front, custom holes cut for my filters and heater, and was made to my exact dimensions. knowing what I paid for it which I don't care to share with everyone, and knowing that a 180 is a standard size not custom, and that it is used I would offer $850 for the tank, stand and canopy. depending on what type of LED lighting system it is, I would probably just purchase the tank and stand/canopy. i would buy new filtration and heating were it me but would possibly bite on the light depending on its brand and age.

If you went RR you want to go sump to utilize the overflows.
AND nothing says you can't run both. I run a sump with a little Ehiem Classic. All I have in the Ehiem is ceramic media.

Don't get wrapped up in overthinking the sump. All you need to get started is a spare tank and some poret foam. They can be that simple.

Contact FareBox on here, he is the poret foam sump master.

Here is the site for buying it.

My latest sump build is here, but it is not done, I'm figuring out how to incorporate my auto roller filter. I think I have it so I will update with pictures ASAP.
And yes..I tend to over complicate sumps! LOL...Do as I say not as I do! LOL..

I think you made a wise decision and will be happy!! Good move!

I'd go sump as well. Especially given the tank you have is ready for it!

Me again been looking into the sump it hurts my head almost everything is saltwater related. Was curious if 2 fx6 1 going to each over flow would work as well as a sump system. Here's the new tank just put in place.Don't want to put water in it until I figure out the filtration. Also tuff finding a 72 inch led light found one that I think is decent but of course made for salt water it's a Current Orbit™ IC LED Marine Reef Lighting System with Wireless Lighting & Pump Control around 320 dollars. Please give me opions on fx6 verses sump and light. As always thanks20170507_204447.jpg

Throw a 29 gallon under there for a sump and plumb it up!
