These photos are spectacular Pat. They are the sort of photos i expect to see in National Geographic magazines. I always receive a pleasant surprise whenever l tune in to your threads...please keep them coming.

One of my favorite Birds Pat! Looks like a great photo trip and some really nice pictures as well. I have found the burrowing owls to be really challenging to photograph.... at least they were with film as thats the last I shot them. Seeing how they like the open areas and bright sun., its often contrasty and harsh light. You did real well here.

Thank Al, we were shooting in the early morning or late afternoon. In one location early Sat morning we found the owlets hunting and a fair amount of activity with the adults and juvies. It was fun. Even thru this image was noisy I couldn't pass it up.
