Fiber content
Dear friends,
For last batch of my discuss food. I used green peas . I removed outer layer by soaking them in water for about 4 hours.
And grind them and mixed with beef heart mixture.
But what I noticed was they tend to left the green peas parts in the food and eat beef heart only.
Did I do anything wrong here ??
This was my first time to use green peas in discus food.
I get the feeling that they cannot chew it because grind green peas parts may be hard to swallow .
What can I do to get rid of this. ? ultimately they dont have a good fiber content in their food.
And I have seen ppl adding bananas to food. Is that a good replacement for green peas ?

Re: Fiber content
Cooked collard greens or spinach works well. Green peas need to be cooked if you use them...it sounds like you just soaked them to remove the shell.....try cooking them first.
Hth,
Al
