Thank you to everyone who has posted messages of support and made donations. It is appreciated more than you know. I got a message from Katie, Janets daughter, saying she was getting contributions from the USA and wondering how it happened. It happened because you guys made it happen. I'm sorry to be greedy but we could do with more, much more!

Its great seeing you posting to this thread,though I wish it was under very different circumstances. You can be away from this place for months,years whatever, you can always call it home and visit if you are able...pretty sure we will still be here. Take care of whats important , you are missed, but we understand, I know I understand. Take care of your family , take care of Janet, and definitely take care of yourself! If I can ever do anything to help, you know where find to me.

Carrie sends her well wishes here also to you and your sister. YOU and Janet are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi Al, I wish it were under different circumstances too, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for yours and Carrie's support. I just feel so helpless, it is difficult. Janet is still poorly, but the meds and treatment seem to be having an effect. Her daughter and husband are with her in Germany but they are begining to show the stress. Cancer is an evil disease and we have lost so many to it in my family, for once, just once, I'd like to beat it.

Fighting something like this really is hard on the family and the individual. We have an awesome community of people here and I have seen this community come together so many times over the years for good causes. It really would be a great thing if we could do it again here. I have donated twice. The first time there was not an easy way to donate in US dollars so I paypal-ed Paul directly. I also shared Paul's post of the SimplyDiscus group on Facebook and another discus based group saw it, posted it and the group members gathered a collection and donated that.

Last week I saw where Paul posted his discus book collection to sale on FB and those proceeds go to Janet's fund. They are trying to save Janet's life. She can not get the care she needs in the UK and is currently in Germany for treatment.

If you can help please do. Even if it is only $5. If everyone donated $5 that would add up fast. Donate if you can...please.
