Cancer has taken many in my family as well. Just made a donation - I'd like to see cancer lose more often. All the best.

Thank you to all who have taken the time to read this and donated it is massively appreciated.

My apologies for not updating this sooner, we have had a setback which has taken some time to deal with. I will try and get all the facts correct.

Janet was taken into hospital in Blackpool in the UK in a critical condition where they discovered that she had a serious blockage in her bowel. After exploratory surgery this was confirmed as mass of tumours. The hospital in the UK decided that there was nothng to be done and basically refused to supply nutrition or fluids. In simple terms she was being left to die.

We explored moving her to other hospitals that wouldprovide nutrition and fluids but we always came up against some form of mindless red tape that meant they wouldn't take her. However as soon as the wound from the operation had healed enough she has been moved by road (some 14 - 16 hours) to the clinic in Germany where they have done various blood works. They discovered her potassium levesl were critically low and she was at immediate risk of cardiac arrest, this is being rectified. Tosay she will receive her first nutrition via a tube for four weeks. Janet will need to recover some strength before she can receive treatment for the tumours in her bowel which the doctors in both the UK and Germany feel will respond well to chemo. Once that has been addressed she can continue with the treatment for her stomach cancer.

We are paying for Janets treatment privately as this is not funded by any governament or by insurance. I am again asking for your help as Janet still wants to fight this and is not giving up, she has so much courage. Please donate what you can, every dollar helps. Katie, Janets daughter has setup a new funding page as the last one finished. The details are here
    https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/savejanetcolgan
or you can paypal her here:

Thank you all so much, when Katie saw that donations were coming from the USA and told Janet, my sister cried and asked why would people who don't know her help. When she asked me, all I could say was that they are good people. It is hard to put into words the gratitude we feel. Thank you again.

Again, many many thanks for the donations and prayers. Immensely appreciated. Despite the poor care she received in the UK Janet is showing great progress now she is in Germany.
